Our client - German product company, which specializes in automotive infotainment industry, is looking for a C++ Project Leader / Solution Architect to join their skilled team in Karlsruhe (Germany). 

The Company is creating embedded multimedia software for next generations of In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) systems for top brands automotive companies including 27 worldwide car makers. For example, they work with such clients, as BMW, GM, Porsche, Toyota and other known German and international car manufacturers.

Currently, Company has 106 full time employees and rapidly growing, the will need at least 20 people next year and still hiring this year. Around 50 people employed in the Company are from CIS countries, so you will have a large community of people to get friendly with. 

THE ROLE: 

You will play an important role in the development and optimization of company’s embedded multiplatform. Also, working directly with customers and lead projects for integration of next-generation embedded multimedia C/C++ middleware, will be a part of your daily workflow.

The Project Leader / Solution Architect will take care of a customer project and will not manage people directly. Example: A new car will come out in 2022. He will get the Head Unit from the car manufacturer and lead the project. He will be the only contact person for the car maker until the cars are produced. Together, they will define timelines, milestones, our project leader will make and send the releases to customers, will do some testings, implementations, etc. The Project Management Engineers Department is divided in several teams for which we have a Team Leader.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • manage customer projects by providing project leadership and daily management through project life cycle for all assigned projects;
  • oversee all aspects of project information including timelines, resource allocation, scope and definition;
  • communicate project schedules, status and potential risks; 
  • proactively identify, prioritize and drive resolution to project issues;
  • design and create quality assurance for the projects.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • 2+ years as a Project Manager experience;  
  • 5+ years of experience of commercial development using C/C++ and embedded real-time C;
  • be able to interact with all levels of engineers and managers 
  • has excellent written and communication skills 
  • pays attention to the details and be highly organized 
  • be fluent in software engineering processes with complex technical issues 
  • has high interest in next-generation multimedia 
  • has strong English skills (Upper Intermediate at least).

WOULD BE A PLUS: 

  • Knowledge of Embedded RTOS, Linux and Bare-Metal programming;
  • Might give a test assignment or case*;
  • Has previous experience related to automotive or similar field;
