Our Client - an American product software company, which provides different data solutions like search, reporting, disposition, and preservation of unstructured user data, is looking for a skillful Linux Build/Packaging Engineer to join their team in Holmdel, New Jersey.
The company builds enterprise-class software for the Information Governance, Data Management, Compliance, and eDiscovery markets. Their software allows companies to manage petabytes of data across primary, backup, and archival classes of storage.

THE ROLE: 

As a Linux Engineer, you will develop, enhance and maintain automated build, packaging, and installation systems for Linux-based product. Responsibilities will include working with development and QA teams, design and implement necessary changes to software configuration and integration with Linux platforms, support automated testing of resulting build products.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: 

• 3+ years of experience with Linux systems;
• Experience building Linux software distribution packages such as RPM’s (Red Hat Package Manager);
• Strong experience with Linux packaging formats such as RPM or DPKG.
  
  

WOULD BE A PLUS: 

• Working experience with Red Hat-based Linux operating systems (Fedora, CentOS, RHEL, etc.);
• Experience with Debian OS;
• Knowledge of command-line tools (Shell, Grep, Sed);
• Experience with scripting languages (Perl, Python).
