The US technology company, which involved in asset management and inventory control, located not far from some of the best beaches in the United States as well as within a day visit of Baltimore, Washington, DC and New York City (Woodbury area), is looking for Principal Firmware Engineer for firmware development and sustaining of products supporting anti-theft and asset management devices in a retail environment with their team.

The company has over 3000 employees worldwide, which includes a 45-person engineering group which you will become part of and participate in many aspects of engineering, design, integration, and testing of their products. 

 THE ROLE: 

As a Principal Firmware Engineer, you will play an important role in the development of an embedded software system. You will be responsible for providing substantive technical assistance in software development projects, including the design, coding, and testing of all embedded software system components, it includes such responsibilities as: specifying, architecting, designing, implementing, releasing. Also, participation in embedded design projects from concept to production, development of utilities, scripting, Library porting, supervision and leading of team also will be a part of your daily workflow. 

 WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• 10+ years of experience in the embedded software and firmware development field; 
• 10+ years of experience of commercial development using C/C++ and embedded real-time C; 
• Knowledge of Embedded RTOS and Linux; 
• Experience with 32-bit microprocessor architecture; 
• Strong networking and wireless experience: Ethernet (TCP/IP), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular; 
• Team leading or architect experience; 
• Experience developing boot code power on self-test; 
• Experience of develo[ment broad support packages;
• Knowledge of In-Circuit Emulators and Logic Analyzers; 
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications;
• Knowledge of Perl, Java, VB programming.
