The role: As a part of GrandVision’s new and growing global Customer Experience&Digital (CX&D) team, you will take part in defining and driving a ‘true transformation’. Be prepared for an interesting journey of implementing customer experience led omnichannel transformation across 44 countries, 29 retail brands, 6,800brick-n-mortar stores, 52 websites and 39,000 employees – at the intersection of retail, fashion, and healthcare. This role is suitable for someone who has around 5-7 years of hands-on experience in the design of technical solutions, working with integration technologies and most importantly, being an excellent communicator who knows how to facilitate between various business stakeholders and internal development teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide end-to-end ownership of digital solutions delivered to meet requirements, delivering the architecture
• Translate business requirements into effective technical solutions
• Work as the bridge between the business stakeholders and development teams
• Be able to realize both functional and non-functional capabilities that align to the overall architecture.
• Be able to understand and further explain complex technical concepts and to drive technical solutions into right directions
• Provide leadership of the solution implementation, embracing modern cloud-native concepts, agile, DevOps delivery and the use of enterprise cloud platforms
• Provide oversight to project to ensure alignment to security architecture and correct consideration of cyber security has been factored into designs.

CURRENT PROJECTS: 

• Building and developing new features on the global e-Commerce platform for all GrandVision brands.
• Omni-channel experiences; connecting customer store and online experiences.
• Latest eye care technologies: virtual try on, online eye tests

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: 

• Experience working in an international and corporate environment
• 5-7 years' work experience in technical roles (technical lead, architect…)
• Hands-on experience in designing technical solutions
• Previous hands-on experience in development
• Hands-on experience in integration technologies
• Must be experienced in interactions between stakeholders and developing team to ensure alignment.
• Strong communication skills, able to present technical solutions to non-technical people/challenge stakeholders on their decisions
• Analytical thinking, fact-driven / logical approach
• Embrace change, be open-minded, flexibility to work in an agile environment
• Willingness to learn (new skills)

Preferred skills and experience:

• Hands-on experience in designing Cloud solutions based on enterprise cloud platforms (e.g. Azure, AWS)
• Hands-on challenging the developers to bridge the gap between the architecture and codebase level implementation
• eCommerce & CMS experience (e.g. commerceTools, Bloomreach)
• Search engines (e.g. Algolia search and merchandising)
