HALO Trust - the world’s largest humanitarian demining organization is looking for an experienced International Finance Manager / Corporate Finance lead to join their Ukrainian team.

HALO is a non-governmental, non-political, non-religious organization headquartered in the UK. HALO’s mission is to protect lives and restore the livelihoods of those affected by conflict. We clear landmines and the explosive debris of war so communities and countries can recover.

HALO Ukraine has been operating since 2016, delivering humanitarian mine action activities, including survey, mine clearance and explosive ordnance risk education. The programme currently employs approximately 430 staff members.

HALO Ukraine is seeking a second IFM who will be responsible for the in-house part of the finance management and will also support with donor financial management, budgeting and reporting. The team is based in Kyiv and Brovary with travels to other HALO offices around Ukraine (Lviv, Vinnytsa).

THE ROLE

The IFM in this position will provide line management for the national staff finance team, ensuring financial consistency and quality across the programme. 

This role is mainly focused on leading corporate finance, including such responsibilities as supervising the in-country team, ensuring compliance with local legislation, reviewing the monthly accounts etc.

• Accounting and Financial Control
• Cash Management
• External Reporting and Audit

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE

• At least 2 years of international financial management experience.
• Experience in managing and developing small teams.
• Previous working experience in the INGO sector.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Hands-on experience with financial planning and reporting.
• Ability to implement and monitor policies and procedures in challenging environments.
• Interpretation and implementation of donor/client contract requirements.
