Our client - a company, that provides organizations with unparalleled network detection and response capabilities for the atomized network - is looking for a Backend Engineer to join their team remotely.

About the company: Netography’s mission is to help companies gain visibility into on-premises, cloud & hybrid network environments in a single view to eliminate blind spots and gain an added security layer that does not rely on signatures to remediate threats. By assessing threats in the cloud, it is possible to detect, route, or block bad traffic at a scale and ease never before possible. In essence, they secure client`s Atomized Network.

The role: Backend Engineer is a team player who can commit to collaborative problem solving within a small team, sophisticated design, and deliver quality products. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Developing new and maintaining existing applications.
• Building reusable components for future use.
• Assisting in the management of infrastructure (AWS).
• Optimizing/profiling components for maximum performance.
• Participating in on-call rotation.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE: 

• 8+ years of experience developing and/or running large-scale infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in Go, C, or similar.
• Thorough understanding of data warehousing (Hadoop, druid, elastic search, etc.)
• Understanding of publish/subscribe mechanisms.
• Understanding of network programming.
• Familiarity with building pipelines and tools.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Threat detection experience.
• Machine learning.
• Experience with eBPF.
• Startup experience.
• Familiarity with graph databases.
• Public cloud experience.
