Our client - one of the world’s leading providers of IT solutions for mid-sized and regional airlines - is now looking for a talented full-time Product Owner/Business Analyst to be based in their Kyiv office or cooperate remotely.

Every year almost 10 million flight tickets are sold to passengers through the company`s IT solutions. The company`s customers, the airlines, are located in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and 100+ employees are distributed between the offices in Copenhagen, Warsaw, Kyiv, Bangkok, and Beijing.

With a growing global team and a global customer base, the company provides a highly dynamic and international work environment with daily considerations around different cultures, multiple time zones, and various business requirements internally and externally. The company works in an online agile environment, with teams in multiple locations, where the pace is high and daily interaction is a must.

THE ROLE: 

As a Product Owner, you will play an important role in the shape of a product. You will drive projects from idea to go live and you will primarily work with development teams in Kyiv and Bangkok. Your mindset should be to improve the user experience, work processes and help them drive more sales. Your mission will be to know and understand the users and their requirements, innovate and invent work processes, and the UI/UX in a sales and distribution platform. In addition, you will own the final result that is put into production and make sure it meets or exceeds the users' expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Driving product features from idea to implementation;
  • Participating in the product development process in accordance with methodology;
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog;
  • Gathering of business requirements, analysis, and preparing specifications;
  • Preparation of technical documents, product materials, and procedure descriptions;
  • Conducting workflow analysis, defining user requirements, identifying issues, recommending technical solutions;
  • Planning and monitoring of development projects;
  • Setting priorities for tasks and task portfolio management;
  • Presentation of the solutions, conduction of internal and external user trainings and handovers;
  • Maintaining (adding / updating / archiving) Knowledge Management artifacts;
  • Collaboration with the development team, participation in release and sprint planning;
  • Collaboration with UI / UX designer and other internal stakeholders.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a software development company;
  • Experience in airline IT or travel industry sector is an advantage;
  • Technical background (UI/UX design skills are a great plus);
  • Experience in transitioning business requirements into accurate technical specifications for technical teams;
  • Experience in managing product backlog, project roadmap, and prioritization of tasks;
  • Experience in task management (sprint planning, distribution of tasks, monitoring of change requests);
  • Experience in building UML Diagrams and designing workflows;
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence;
  • At least Intermediate English;
  • Degree in the Computer Science/Applied Systems Analysis/Cybernetics.
