THE ROLE:

You will join the Recommendations Scalability team responsible for the quality of the recommendation platform. Personalized experience is a key to Roku user happiness. Clean data, best-in-class tools and reliable APIs are the biggest allies of personalization algorithms that power users’ excitement about Roku around the globe. You will help to take Roku’s recommendations infrastructure to the next level of scalability and innovation.

You will be responsible for building and owning the next generation of content recommendations and other systems that will make the experience for many millions of Roku users 100% personalized and unique

 WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• 5+ years of experience building large-scale software solutions;
• Strong CS fundamentals, ability to write an algorithm with ease;
• Previous working experience with Java / Scala / Kotlin / Python;
• Expertise in data storing solutions.
• Experience with ETL pipelines, both streaming and batch
• Good understanding of system architecture.
• MS in Computer Science or closely related domain;
• At least Upper-intermediate level of English.

WOULD BE A PLUS: 

• Experience with big data systems (Spark, Kafka, Flink, S3, AirFlow);
• Good understanding and working experience with microservices.
