One of the largest and most successful investment companies, developing software for trading and financial operations is looking for a competent Senior PHP Backend Developer to join their team in Limassol, Cyprus.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing and implementing new features/projects.
• Maintaining and refactoring existing web applications such as the Company’s payment gateway, CRM and internal web services.
• Researching and integrating new web technologies.
• Resolving support tickets for IT related issues.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:

• BS degree in Information Technology/Computer Science, or related engineering degree.
• 3+ years of experience in a similar position.
• Expert knowledge of PHP5+.
• Very good understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Experience with consuming 3rd party web services.
• Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Outstanding team working skills.
• Fluent English.

WOULD BE A PLUS:

• Experience with Symfony Framework/Components.
• Experienced in creating composer packages, using version control systems like Git and writing tests with PHPUnit.
• Knowledge of database query optimization.
• Experience with the development of REST APIs.
• Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ.
• Experience with front-end frameworks like ReactJs.
• Ability to refactor non-testable code.
