Who we are
Venbest-Recruiting LLC (trading as “Skillers”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is a technology and leadership recruitment agency headquartered in Ukraine and working internationally. We help clients find talent and candidates find career opportunities.
Venbest-Recruiting LLC is the data controller for the personal data we process for our own recruitment and business purposes.

What data we collect
Candidates
- Identity and contact details: your name, email address, telephone number, city and country. Other identification information, such as your date of birth, is processed only where necessary for a specific recruitment purpose and lawfully obtained.
- Professional information: your CV or résumé, employment history, education, skills, professional profiles such as LinkedIn, salary expectations and availability.
- Recruitment communications: messages, interview notes, assessment information and relevant references shared during the recruitment process.
Clients and partners
- Business contact details: your name, company, job title, work email, telephone number and business address.
- Business communications: enquiries, proposals, contracts, correspondence and meeting records.
Website visitors and call bookings
Technical information may include your IP address, browser and device information, requested pages and security or error logs. When you book a meeting, we receive the contact details, booking information and any answers you provide through Calendly.
Where information comes from
We receive information directly from you, including through applications, email and calls. In recruitment, we may also receive relevant professional information from public professional profiles, referrals, clients and referees, where permitted by law. Where required, we provide privacy information when contacting you or within the applicable legal timeframe.
Sensitive information
Please do not include unnecessary sensitive information in your application, such as health information, religious beliefs or identity documents. If a specific recruitment process requires sensitive information, we will explain why and process it only where an appropriate legal basis and any additional legal conditions are met. Voluntarily sending sensitive information does not, by itself, provide permission for every use of it.
How we use your data
- Assess your suitability for current and future career opportunities.
- Present your information to prospective employers with your permission.
- Communicate about vacancies, applications and the recruitment process.
- Maintain a candidate and client database for relevant future opportunities.
- Respond to enquiries, arrange meetings and manage client and partner relationships.
- Deliver recruitment services and manage proposals and contracts.
- Send relevant updates or marketing communications where permitted by law, with consent where required. You can ask us to stop marketing communications at any time.
- Maintain the security and functionality of our website, improve our services and meet legal obligations.
Legal bases for processing
Where data protection law requires a legal basis, the basis depends on the purpose and circumstances of the processing:
- Consent: for processing that requires your permission, including marketing where required. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract: where processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into one.
- Legitimate interests: to conduct relevant recruitment searches, maintain professional relationships and our talent pool, and secure and improve our services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
- Legal obligations: where we must process information to comply with applicable law.
Submitting an application is not consent to unrelated marketing. If we rely on consent, we explain the relevant purpose when asking for it.
International data transfers
Our recruitment work and service providers may involve processing outside your country of residence, including outside Ukraine, the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom.
Where applicable law restricts these transfers, an appropriate transfer mechanism is required. Depending on the destination and service, this may include an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and relevant UK safeguards.

How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or to meet applicable legal requirements.
Candidate information is normally kept for up to two years from our last interaction, unless you agree to a longer period or a justified legal basis requires or permits longer retention. You can contact us to ask about retention or request deletion.
Client and partner records are kept for the duration needed to manage the relationship, meet accounting and other legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims. Technical and security records are retained according to their operational purpose and applicable provider settings.
Data security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse or alteration. No method of transmission or storage can guarantee absolute security.
Your privacy rights
Depending on the law that applies to your information, including Ukrainian data protection law and, where applicable, the EU or UK GDPR, you may have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data and information about its use.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request erasure of your data.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, including objection to direct marketing.
- Receive eligible data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Complain to the relevant data protection authority. In Ukraine, this is the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights.

California privacy rights
If you are a California resident and the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to our processing, your rights may include knowing about and accessing your personal information, correcting or deleting it, opting out of a sale or sharing as defined by that law, and receiving equal treatment when exercising your rights.
We do not sell personal information for monetary compensation. Our website does not currently run our own advertising pixels or cross-site advertising trackers. Third-party services have their own privacy practices, as described in the next section.
